An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to join our team of specialist Curriculum Leaders here at Education. We are looking to appoint a passionate and highly skilled Science Curriculum Lead who will work across our 8 school sites situated within Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. You will need to have proven experience in secondary education. This is an exciting time to join us! We are now looking to build upon two highly successful OFSTED inspections and ensure that our curriculum offer is developed even further to provide the very best educational outcomes for our learners.

As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to lead your curriculum area across the organisation. This will involve conducting quality assurance activities with school leaders as well as providing our teaching staff with targeted support and training. Our Curriculum Leads have a hybrid role which involves the teaching of groups alongside designated release time each week to complete leadership activities. You will also receive bespoke support from our Heads of Quality of Education and have opportunities to network with our other Curriculum Leads from across the organisation.

Skills and Qualifications

You will need to have recognised qualified teacher status (this can be through a variety of routes: BEd, PGCE, GTP, NQT). To be successful in this role you will need to have sound knowledge and practical experience of designing and developing the Science curriculum. There is a need to be able to travel between sites within the specified locality to support and engage with young people as required. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for transporting them to various locations.
