Location: Mansfield
Hours: 35 Hours per week - Term time only - Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm (we can also offer part time of 3 days)
Actual Annual salary: £21,747.58 per annum
Hourly rate: £13.91 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Here at R.E.A.L Education (part of the wider Aurora Group) we have an exciting opportunity to welcome a qualified Teaching Assistant to our sites. For this role you will be based at our Mansfield sites. In your new role you would be responsible for working with small groups and 1:1 learners at one of our sites or in the community, delivering innovative and engaging sessions to young people who have SEN. All the resources will be provided to you so that you can focus on adapting the learning objectives to suit your learner’s needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with SEN
- Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
- Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviour that challenges.
- Experience working within an education setting as a Teaching Assistant or equivalent
Skills
- Be positive and creative in meeting students’ needs
- Work on your own as well as part of a team
- Work collaboratively with other staff and professionals with good interpersonal skills
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Competent ICT skills
- Be flexible, adaptable and solution focused.
There is a need to be able to travel between sites within the specified locality to support and engage with young people as required. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for transporting them to various locations. You will need to have business insurance.
