  • Manage and inspire a Manchester‑based team of producers, editors, and social specialists.
  • Develop a growth strategy for YouTube and social vertical video (TikTok, Instagram Reels, X), overseeing visual optimisation and community engagement.
  • Build relationships with hosting talent and Manchester United correspondents, providing feedback on pacing, video presence, and on‑camera chemistry.
  • Collaborate with the UK football editorial team to align show topics with breaking news, transfer windows, and matchday coverage.
  • Partner with commercial and ad‑sales teams to integrate sponsorships into audio and video feeds without degrading the listener experience.
  • Analyse YouTube and social analytics and podcast download data to refine show structure, test new segments, and maximise audience retention.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of digital media experience producing high‑profile video podcasts or digital football programming.
  • Deep knowledge of the YouTube ecosystem, including algorithm mechanics, retention strategies, thumbnail and title optimisation, and community building.
  • Extensive understanding of Manchester United history, fan culture and the broader Premier League.
  • Expert knowledge of video talk formats, control‑room workflows, multi‑camera studio set‑ups, and modern digital editing techniques.
  • Strong managerial skills with experience leading creative teams under tight deadlines.
