The Athenaeum Hotel is a historic full-service hotel with 150 rooms for guests, open from late April through October for conferences and events. The hotel operates fully during the Chautauqua Institution summer season, from late June through late August.
Compensation: Compensation for this position starts at $16.00 per hour, with potential earnings up to $18.00 per hour plus tips based on experience and qualifications.
Work Responsibilities:
- Clean hotel rooms as assigned while ensuring cleanliness and safety standards.
- Complete daily room assignments and checklists efficiently without compromising quality.
- Stock cleaning supplies and transport them to assigned areas.
- Execute specific procedures for cleaning hotel rooms during guest stays and check-outs.
- Scrub and disinfect bathrooms and polish wooden fixtures.
- Replace bed linens and replenish supplies/toiletries.
- Report maintenance issues and follow procedures for lost guest items.
- Interact positively with guests and maintain communication with team members.
- Participate in team meetings and training programs.
- Report work-related injuries immediately.
Referral Program: A $500 referral bonus is available for active employees referring new candidates who remain employed for at least 90 days.
Schedule: Flexible schedules are offered, including full and part-time positions. Typical shifts range from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a total of 30-40 hours per week. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
