About The Analysis & Data Team

Our team is dedicated to transforming numbers into insights, enabling players and coaches to excel in every aspect of the game. We employ cutting‑edge analytics tools to assess player performance, team dynamics, and opponent strategies. Collaboration with the Coaching and Player Recruitment Teams is vital to our success. We work hand‑in‑hand to identify key performance indicators that align with our club’s objectives, ensuring that our analyses contribute directly to training regimens and recruitment strategies. We also prioritise communication and transparency, sharing our findings and insights with players and coaching staff through regular workshops and reports. This fosters a culture of continuous improvement and encourages players to leverage data in their personal development.

The Opportunity

We are excited to offer a dynamic opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to post‑match analysis by identifying and coding relevant video clips, support match preparation through detailed opposition reports and analysis using both video and data, and aid coaching staff in player development by coding and databasing individual player clips for presentations. The position requires travel with the team for home and away matches when necessary. You will utilise telestration tools to enhance key message delivery and compile resources into engaging, concise presentations tailored to coaching requirements. Additionally, you will set up and manage live touch‑line video solutions for tactical, technical, and medical reviews during matches, facilitating analysis workflows to improve performance across pre‑match, half‑time, and post‑match sessions. Your role will also involve distributing match footage efficiently, conducting immediate post‑game analysis, and supporting the creation of post‑match debriefs with telestration and insights. Ensuring all resources are well databased and accessible is crucial, along with providing ad hoc support to other first‑team performance staff. You will also assist the Head of Analysis and Insights in mentoring domain staff and interns, contributing to the ongoing development of our analysis department.

What We Ask For

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a minimum of five years’ performance analysis experience within a top‑tier football environment, ideally with proven expertise working with a First Team. The successful candidate will possess excellent knowledge and hands‑on experience using Hudl Sportscode and Studio, demonstrating a strong ability to conduct detailed opposition analysis that informs tactical decisions. Exceptional communication skills, along with outstanding time management and organisational abilities, are essential to thrive in this fast‑paced role. A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards are critical. You should have a demonstrable in‑depth understanding of football, including tactical concepts and current trends in the modern game. The role requires flexibility to work both home and away fixtures. You will be required to obtain an Enhanced DBS through SAFC.
