Purpose
To support the delivery of high quality, innovative performance analysis to the First Team, contributing to the club’s transition and competitiveness in EFL League One. The role will provide tactical, technical and data-driven insights across all phases of the performance analysis cycle including pre-match preparation, live match support, post-match review and training analysis to inform coaching decisions and maximise team performance. This includes delivering clear, actionable analysis aligned to the club’s playing philosophy and game model.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of pre-match opposition analysis, using video, data and telestration tools to support game-plan creation.
- Prepare and deliver team, unit, and individual post‑match analysis when required.
- Undertake live coding and provide tactical feedback during matches to support in‑game decision making.
- Lead on the capture and analysis of training sessions, providing live and post‑session feedback to support coaching objectives.
- Lead on the creation of individual opposition player reports using video, data and telestration tools.
- Attend and support all First Team fixtures (home & away), contributing to matchday analysis operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate degree in performance analysis or related subject.
- Strong understanding of football tactics, game models and playing styles.
- Experience delivering analysis within an elite football environment (First Team or Academy).
- Proficiency in performance analysis software (e.g. Hudl Sportscode, Studio and Wyscout).
- High level of organisation and ability to work under time pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Adaptable within a fast‑paced, high-performance environment.
