Our private care home is situated in the beautiful town of Hinckley, close to the town centre. We specialise in Residential Care, Dementia Care, Nursing Care, Respite Care, and Palliative care for 72 residents.
£12.71 per hour, contracted to 16 hours per week. Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided. 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract).
Role Overview
As Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the home remains safe, well maintained and comfortable at all times. This is a hands-on and varied role where your practical skills and attention to detail will have a direct impact on the environment and daily experience. You will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, including repairs, basic electrical checks, installations and general upkeep. You will ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently, responding promptly to issues and supporting planned maintenance. Working independently and alongside the wider team, you will follow health and safety procedures, support compliance checks and help maintain a well-organised, safe and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be able to work 2 days a week.
