Ashcourt’s Hull and East Yorkshire operation is continuing to grow, and we’re now looking for a skilled Transport Planner to help keep our fleet running smoothly and our customers well‑served. If you enjoy coordinating moving parts, solving problems, and working at the heart of a busy logistics environment, this could be the role for you.
In this position, you’ll take responsibility for organising daily vehicle movements, planning routes, and ensuring our drivers have the information they need to deliver safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You’ll also support compliance, maintenance planning, and communication across the wider transport team.

What you'll be doing as a Transport Planner…
- Coordinating daily plans with drivers, the transport manager, and office staff
- Scheduling routes, allocating vehicles, and planning ahead to maximise fleet efficiency
- Keeping customers updated on progress, delays, or changes
- Managing MOTs, inspections, and maintenance schedules for the fleet
- Supporting the transport manager with compliance and legislative requirements
- Completing required health & safety tasks relating to drivers and vehicles
What you'll bring…
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of Hull and the surrounding region
- Experience in transport planning or scheduling, ideally within logistics or aggregates
- Ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced, reactive environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
