We are looking for an experienced and safety‑driven Plant / Grab / 360 Operator to join our team at our Darlington CA site. This is a key site-based role, working closely with the CA Site Manager, Engineers and Subcontractors to ensure all plant operations are carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This role also offers genuine progression opportunities, with the potential to move into a Site Supervisor position for the right experienced and motivated individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plant, grab and 360 machinery safely and efficiently, in line with training and authorisation
- Change machine attachments where required
- Liaise with the CA Site Manager, Engineers and Subcontractors to ensure safe working zones are implemented
- Ensure all high‑risk works are planned prior to works commencing
- Remain alert at all times to customers, site staff and vehicle movements
- Carry out and accurately record daily plant checks before each day’s use
- Operate all plant and equipment with care, attention and responsibility
- Report any plant damage or defects promptly to the CA Site Manager
- Communicate clearly when plant is no longer required and can be off‑hired
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Plant, Grab and/or 360 Operator
- Valid CPCS or NPORS qualifications
- Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a wider site team
- A proactive, safety‑first approach with attention to detail
- Experienced operators with leadership capability will be supported into site supervision roles
£12.75 per hour
Time and a half for all Saturday work
Double time for Sunday and Bank Holiday work
Daily bonuses available
