The Grand Hotel Leicester by The Unlimited Collection is seeking an enthusiastic and commercially focused Sales Executive to join our Sales & Marketing team.
Reporting to the Events Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving meetings, conferences, weddings, christenings, private celebrations, Christmas parties, group accommodation and other special event business.
You will manage enquiries from initial contact through to confirmation while proactively seeking new business opportunities, building client relationships and helping to maximise the hotel's revenue.
Sales Executive is responsible for
- Managing enquiries for meetings, conferences, weddings, christenings, private events, Christmas parties, group accommodation and other special occasions from enquiry to confirmation.
- Responding promptly to enquiries, preparing proposals, quotations and contracts to maximise conversion.
- Building strong relationships with new and existing clients to generate repeat business.
- Proactively identifying new business opportunities through networking, outbound sales activity and local business engagement.
- Conducting hotel show rounds and represent the hotel at showcases, promotional events and networking opportunities.
- Maximising revenue through upselling accommodation, food and beverage, meeting packages and additional hotel services.
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure events and client requirements are delivered seamlessly.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and sales administration in line with company standards.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity, making recommendations to diversify the hotel's business and revenue streams.
- Contributing ideas and initiatives that enhance the hotel's reputation and drive commercial growth.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Experience in hospitality, hotel sales, events or a customer-focused sales role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good spoken and written English.
