The Ascott Limited is seeking an experienced, driven and high achiever as Design Project Manager to join our PTS Europe team, who collectively spearhead the growth of our Lodging portfolio. You will report to the Director, PTS UK & Ireland, supporting The Ascott Limited's Lodging business by providing project management, technical advisory, and PTS guidance to ensure delivery aligns with stakeholder expectations, company brand standards and overall business strategy. This is a part-time (28 hours per week), fixed-term contract role until the end of 2026.
As the Design Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the delivery of design and construction projects, ensuring they meet agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensuring all designs align with brand standards, industry best practices, and overall brand positioning.
- Contributing to business development by aligning project requirements with local regulations and market needs.
- Managing key elements of project budgets, timelines, logistics, and FF&E procurement processes.
- Coordinating consultants, suppliers, and contractors to support smooth project execution from concept to completion.
- Developing and improving project management processes, tools, and reporting to enhance efficiency and delivery.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear updates, resolving design challenges, and maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
To be successful in the role of Design Project Manager, we require:
- Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 5/10 years' experience across design, construction, and project management, ideally spanning hospitality and other asset classes (such as offices, retail, residential).
- 2/3 years' experience working with FF&E manufacturing and supply chains.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or SketchUp is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of project planning, budget control, procurement processes, and tendering within large organisations.
- Solid knowledge of architectural, design, and construction principles, including relevant regulations; familiarity with green certifications (BREEAM, EDGE, HQE) is beneficial.
- Fluent in English; additional fluency in French and/or German a plus.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects from concept through to completion.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
