We are a fast-paced, dynamic marketing and media group employing 90 staff, providing innovative marketing solutions for clients that include ambitious SMEs and blue-chip corporations across the UK and Europe. We work with clients across a range of sectors, with particular strength in home improvement, construction, building products and B2B lead generation.
As our new Senior SEO Executive, you’ll play a key role in supporting and delivering SEO strategies for our clients, helping to improve organic visibility, technical performance, content effectiveness and measurable search results. Working closely with our Digital Director, Head of AI, account managers and wider delivery teams, you’ll help ensure SEO work is delivered to a high standard across client accounts, with a focus on performance, best practice, collaboration and continuous improvement.
About You: The Senior SEO Executive will be responsible for supporting the delivery of SEO strategies across a range of client accounts, working closely with the wider digital, content, web and account management teams to ensure our clients benefit from joined-up, effective and sustainable SEO activity. You’ll be confident reviewing websites, identifying SEO opportunities, carrying out keyword research, analysing performance data and recommending practical actions that improve organic growth. You’ll also be able to work closely with account managers to understand client priorities, support client communication and provide clear SEO insight.
You’ll support the SEO team with day-to-day delivery, quality control and best-practice guidance, while working with the content team on keyword targeting, search intent and content optimisation. You’ll also collaborate with the web team on technical SEO recommendations, launch checks and best practice for new websites. Search is changing quickly, with AI-driven results, algorithm updates, Generative Engine Optimisation and changing user behaviour reshaping how businesses achieve visibility online. We’re looking for someone who understands these changes and is keen to help Purplex and our clients stay ahead without losing sight of strong technical foundations, useful content, ethical SEO and measurable performance.
Success in this role will mean helping clients improve organic visibility, ensuring SEO recommendations are clear and commercially focused, supporting account managers with confident insight, and helping the wider team deliver consistent, high-quality work. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to move beyond task delivery and take more ownership of SEO recommendations, client performance and best-practice standards. You’ll be proactive, analytical, organised and comfortable working in a busy agency environment.
Summary of skills and experience:
- Experience as an SEO Executive, Senior SEO Executive, SEO Specialist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SEO strategy, including technical SEO, on-page optimisation, keyword research, content optimisation and performance analysis.
- Confident using SEO tools such as SE Ranking, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other relevant platforms to monitor performance and identify opportunities.
- Ability to review websites and make clear recommendations around site structure, metadata, internal linking, crawlability, indexation, redirects and SEO best practice.
- Experience supporting the creation and delivery of SEO strategies that align with client and business objectives.
- Good understanding of how SEO and content work together, including keyword mapping, search intent, content briefs and optimisation of existing content.
- Experience working with web teams or developers to support SEO best practice on new and existing websites.
- Ability to work closely with account managers to support client communication, provide SEO recommendations and help ensure activity is aligned with client priorities.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and turn it into clear actions and recommendations.
- Awareness of Google algorithm updates, AI developments, Generative Engine Optimisation and wider SEO industry trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain SEO clearly to internal teams, account managers and clients.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients, tasks and deadlines.
- A commitment to ethical SEO that delivers sustainable commercial results.
- High level of self-awareness, professionalism and accountability.
- Suited to an individual who is self-motivated, keen to learn and able to keep up in a fast-paced environment while working alongside a professional and supportive team.
The package:
- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
- 31 days holiday rising to 36 days, including bank holidays.
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with early finish Fridays.
