We have an exciting opportunity for a People & Culture Intern (24hrs a week) to join the team and play a key role in fostering a positive work environment that reflects our commitment to service excellence and providing support across the club while assisting in the day-to-day running of our vibrant People & Culture Department.
About the role:
Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Officer, the People & Culture Intern will provide hands-on support across core HR functions and People & Culture projects. This role offers exposure to onboarding compliance, HR systems, learning and development, internal communications, and policy documentation. The Intern will play a key role in supporting day-to-day P&C operations while also contributing to structured audit and improvement projects, ensuring processes are accurate, well-organised, and consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Support updates to recruitment platforms, internal documentation, SOPs, and policies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and correct formatting.
- Assist with onboarding administration, including reviewing employee documentation, tracking outstanding items, and maintaining audit checklists.
- Support HR systems administration, including data entry for starters, leavers, contractual changes, and probation records.
- Assist with Learning & Development activities, including maintaining training records, supporting LMS structures, and testing training modules.
- Create and support internal People & Culture communications, including posters, visual materials, and content for the employee engagement platform.
- Organise and maintain digital HR files in line with data protection, filing standards, and version control requirements.
- Provide flexible administrative and project support to the People & Culture team as required.
About You
You have a genuine interest in Human Resources / People & Culture and are keen to learn and develop your skills. You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing confidential information with discretion. You have strong written communication skills and a professional approach to administration. You are proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. You are comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. You are confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with HR systems such as Harri, Mapal One, or Beekeeper is an advantage but not essential. You bring a positive, service-focused attitude and are eager to contribute to a supportive People & Culture function.
