Located in the heart of Mayfair, The Arts Club is one of London’s oldest private members’ clubs and home to a community of members with a passion for the creative arts, literature, and business. From distinguished art exhibitions to fine dining, live music, and an exceptional programme of events for members, the club remains at the heart of contemporary cultural life in London.

We have an exciting opportunity for a People & Culture Intern (24hrs a week) to join the team and play a key role in fostering a positive work environment that reflects our commitment to service excellence and providing support across the club while assisting in the day to day running of our vibrant People & Culture Department.

About the role: Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Officer, the People & Culture Intern will provide hands-on support across core HR functions and People & Culture projects. This role offers exposure to onboarding compliance, HR systems, learning and development, internal communications, and policy documentation. The Intern will play a key role in supporting day-to-day P&C operations while also contributing to structured audit and improvement projects, ensuring processes are accurate, well-organised, and consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support updates to recruitment platforms, internal documentation, SOPs, and policies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and correct formatting.
  • Assist with onboarding administration, including reviewing employee documentation, tracking outstanding items, and maintaining audit checklists.
  • Support HR systems administration, including data entry for starters, leavers, contractual changes, and probation records.
  • Assist with Learning & Development activities, including maintaining training records, supporting LMS structures, and testing training modules.
  • Create and support internal People & Culture communications, including posters, visual materials, and content for the employee engagement platform.
  • Organise and maintain digital HR files in line with data protection, filing standards, and version control requirements.
  • Provide flexible administrative and project support to the People & Culture team as required.

About You

  • You have a genuine interest in Human Resources / People & Culture and are keen to learn and develop your skills.
  • You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing confidential information with discretion.
  • You have strong written communication skills and a professional approach to administration.
  • You are proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • You are comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • You are confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with HR systems such as Harri, Mapal One, or Beekeeper is an advantage but not essential.
  • You bring a positive, service-focused attitude and are eager to contribute to a supportive People & Culture function.
