The Arts Club presents an exciting opportunity for an aspiring chef to join its brigade of creative and diverse culinary professionals. The Commis Chef will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day duties within assigned kitchen section(s), working in line with the club's operating concept. They will ensure all recipes and standards are consistently followed, while actively supporting practical demonstrations and maintaining the highest levels of quality, consistency, and attention to detail. Complete the daily check list received by the Chef in charge regarding mise-en-place and food storage Report any failure of kitchen equipment, and follow up to ensure the necessary maintenance work has been carried out Help to prevent waste of food and over-production to mise-en-place, and keep food order from store or supplies to a minimum.
