Located in the heart of Mayfair, The Arts Club is one of London's oldest private members' clubs and home to a community of members with a passion for the creative arts, literature, and business. From distinguished art exhibitions to fine dining, live music, and an exceptional programme of events for members, the club remains at the heart of contemporary cultural life in London. At the heart of the Club is the Brasserie, offering an irresistible menu inspired by Mediterranean flavours and seasonal dishes.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and service-driven Assistant Manager to join our Brasserie team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional to support the leadership and daily operation of one of the Club's busiest outlets. Working closely with the General Manager and Restaurant Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional service standards, driving team performance, and ensuring a memorable experience for every member and guest.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the General Manager and Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Brasserie
  • Lead by example to ensure exceptional service standards are consistently delivered
  • Supervise and support the restaurant team throughout service periods
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and professionally resolve feedback or service concerns
  • Ensure the Brasserie is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation
  • Conduct regular floor checks and oversee smooth operational flow across the restaurant
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members
  • Assist with staff performance reviews, coaching, and development plans
  • Maintain strong communication between front-of-house, kitchen, and management teams
  • Analyse operational performance and support initiatives to maximise efficiency and profitability
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, licensing, and company procedures
  • Assist with departmental meetings, briefings, and service planning
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with members and guests, delivering a warm and personalised experience
  • Undertake duty management responsibilities and support wider operational requirements where needed
  • Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative team culture at all times
