About the role

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of Ofelia, optimising efficiency across lunch and dinner service while also overseeing the department. They will support the General Manager in planning and executing both operational and administrative strategies. This role will require dedication, with late nights being an essential part of maintaining smooth and effective management.

In a nutshell:

  • To effectively monitor training and development for new members of the team
  • To continually review and promote the training and development of all departmental personnel through effective performance reviews and clearly defined skills training
  • Attend weekly HOD, Events meetings and pass relevant information to your team whilst the General Manager is on annual leave
  • To be fully accountable for operational payroll and ensure that any projected excess to budget/forecast is authorised by the COO whilst the General Manager is on annual leave
  • To ensure that an effective structure of communication is maintained at all times to ensure that team are fully informed of all relevant information pertaining to their role
  • Actively engage with guests, providing personalized service and ensuring their needs are met with warmth and professionalism
  • Monitor service quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction, addressing any issues proactively
