Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to join our front of house team as a Receptionist at The Arts Club. Located in the heart of Mayfair, The Arts Club is one of London's oldest private members' clubs, home to a community of members with a passion for the creative arts, literature, and business. The Reception team is the 'voice' of the Club, providing excellent, warm, and friendly service to members and their guests. Strong member recognition and collaboration with the team to uphold current booking policies, club rules, and by-laws are essential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times and welcome members and guests.
- Collaborate with the receptionist/reservations team and handle inquiries professionally via telephone, email, and at the reception desk.
- Answer and direct calls according to department standards; take and relay messages with warmth and efficiency.
- Host and escort members to their reserved tables throughout the Club.
- Manage all incoming reservation calls to maximize covers; handle emails, confirm reservations, and manage bookings.
- Be familiar with function sheets for front of house and reception; understand cancellations and no-shows in line with company policy.
- Stay up-to-date with the current music programme, art, and members\' events to provide information and maximize booking opportunities.
- Fulfil all reasonable requests from members to ensure comfort and satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in high-volume restaurants or private members' clubs.
- Proficiency in SevenRooms/OpenTable and sign-in programs like Salesforce or Dynamics.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
