Key Responsibilities

• Uniform Management
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Uniform Room, ensuring uniforms are organised, accessible and maintained to the highest standard.
• Conduct uniform fittings for new and existing employees, ensuring garments are correctly sized and professionally fitted.
• Carry out high-quality alterations and repairs, including hemming, sleeve alterations, adjustments, button replacement and other garment repairs.
• Monitor the condition and presentation of uniforms, arranging alterations, repairs or replacements where required.
• Maintain accurate uniform stock levels by department, garment type and size, carrying out regular stock checks and identifying replenishment requirements.
• Ensure uniforms are correctly stored and minimise unnecessary replacement and wastage.
• Support the introduction of new uniform pieces and coordinate seasonal uniform changeovers.
• Operations & Coordination
• Coordinate uniform requirements for new starters, ensuring complete uniform sets are prepared and available on time.
• Manage the collection and return of uniforms for leavers, ensuring all allocated items are accounted for and records are updated.
• Maintain accurate records of uniforms issued, returned, exchanged, repaired and replaced.
• Coordinate fitting schedules and uniform requirements with HR, Operations and Department Managers.
• Liaise with external suppliers or specialist tailors where required for repairs or alterations.
• Carry out regular uniform checks and support full uniform reviews and audits across The Arts Club.
• Respond promptly to uniform-related queries and ensure any operational issues are escalated appropriately.
• Provide regular updates to management on stock levels, outstanding uniform requirements and purchasing needs.

About You

• Experienced in sewing, garment alterations and repairs, with excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple requirements and priorities in a busy environment.
• Passionate about quality, presentation and ensuring the smallest details are right.
• Confident carrying out uniform fittings and assessing sizing requirements.
• Comfortable managing stock, maintaining accurate records and keeping track of multiple uniform requirements.
• A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion.
• Professional, approachable and confident communicating with employees, managers and different departments.
• Able to work discreetly and professionally while providing a high level of service to colleagues.
• Flexible and hands-on, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
• Previous experience in a uniform room, tailoring, alterations, fashion, hospitality or a similar environment would be advantageous.
