The Artist’s Cup is an independent art gallery in South West London showcasing local and emerging artists. Our focus is on accessibility; making art feel welcoming, non-intimidating, and genuinely for everyone.

We’re creating an inviting, inclusive gallery inspired by the familiarity of a coffee shop, where visitors feel comfortable spending time with exhibitions, attending openings, and taking part in creative workshops. The space will operate as a daytime gallery café, transitioning into a wine bar in the evenings once licensed.

This is an opportunity to help build something from the ground up. We’re looking for a Gallery Manager to support The Artist’s Cup from pre-opening through launch and into its early months of operation. Working closely with the Founder, you will oversee day-to-day management of the space and play a key role in shaping its culture, visitor experience, and operational systems. You will act as the main on-site lead and ensure the gallery runs smoothly, professionally, and in line with the brand vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support final pre-opening preparations and launch
  • Work closely with the Founder on operations, improvements, and growth
  • Act as the on-site manager overseeing daily operations
  • Lead the front-of-house team to deliver a warm, high-quality visitor experience
  • Manage stock, suppliers, and basic operational systems
  • Support exhibitions, private hires, and events
  • Supervise staff or freelancers as required
About You
  • A genuine interest in the arts
  • Experience in hospitality, venue management, gallery operations, retail, or a similar environment
  • Experience supervising or leading teams
  • Confident managing a small venue independently
  • Highly organised, reliable, and proactive
  • Comfortable balancing front-of-house responsibilities with administrative tasks
  • Personal licence holder is desired (or willing to obtain one)

Please send your CV and a short note outlining your interest and relevant experience to or via LinkedIn.
