Job Title: Equipment and Facilities Engineer

Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain and Operations
Purpose of the role: This role is for an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join the team at Uddingston. The individual will be responsible for all technical aspects within the site. They will be required to maintain the bottling line and spirit processing equipment, carry out repairs and regular inspections of all operational equipment. This role also includes responsibility for the general maintenance of the facility, applying personal knowledge and expert guidance through contracted resources where required. This role will drive continuous improvement in our processes and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- The efficient and safe operation of all site assets, this covers preventative maintenance and reactive repairs for the bottling line and spirit processing equipment
- Resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently using the available resources.
- Actively identify and implement plans to reduce lost time due to changeovers/breakdowns.
- Proactively review all equipment and plan maintenance accordingly.
- Follow good documentation practices to ensure accurate, up to date records for all work.
- Drive line performance routines
- Identify CAPEX replacement and upgrade plans and support execution of these.
- Support in NPD and Packaging developments for assisting these to run on the line.
- Support, develop and coach the team to enable high performance.
- Responsible for facilities management, including relationship management of key contractors for: Water/Plumbing; Electricity – supply & PAT testing; Cleaning – grounds and facility etc; Lift
- Responsible for maintaining asset register including preventative maintenance programme & record keeping using a CMMS system.
Experience
- Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification. (NVQ/City and guilds level 3 or equivalent)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Proven experience within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
- Experience with contract and supplier management
- Planning and organisational skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- AHU and plant process experience (Desirable)
