The Arthur Terry School is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Food to join our proactive team, responsible for delivering high quality practical and theoretical lessons that help students develop essential life skills, nutritional knowledge and culinary experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that cover food science, nutrition and practical cooking skills.
  • Adapt teaching styles and curriculum materials to meet the needs of all students.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic food technology environment in strict accordance with health and safety regulation.
  • Set high expectations for student behaviour and progress, providing constructive feedback through regular marking and assessment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have a strong background/qualification in Food Technology, Food Science or Nutrition.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Show enthusiasm about student engagement, curriculum development, and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Be able to collaborate effectively within a team and contribute positively to the school community.
