The Arthur Terry School is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Teacher of English to join our high performing department. We would love to hear from an experienced teacher who is able to teach A Level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across all key stages
  • Foster a genuine love for reading and writing through innovative teaching methods
  • Adapt teaching styles and curriculum materials to meet the needs of all students
  • Set high expectations for student behaviour and progress, providing constructive feedback through regular marking and assessment

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Show enthusiasm about student engagement, curriculum development, and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Be able to collaborate effectively within a team and contribute positively to the school community.
