The Arthur Terry School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Design Technology. The Arthur Terry School is a high-performing, oversubscribed secondary school with a strong reputation for academic excellence and student development. We are looking for a passionate educator to join our highly successful and forward-thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), fostering creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills in a well-resourced and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Design Technology across a range of specialisms (e.g. Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering)
- Inspire students to think creatively and develop practical solutions to real-world challenges
- Contribute to a collaborative and ambitious department committed to continuous improvement
- Support extracurricular opportunities, including STEM clubs and enrichment activities
- Play an active role in the wider life of the school
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Is a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)
- Has strong subject knowledge in Design Technology
- Is passionate about teaching and learning, with high expectations for all students
- Has the ability to motivate, challenge, and inspire learners of all abilities
- Works well as part of a team and is committed to professional development
