The Arthur Terry School has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team in our successful, oversubscribed school. This is a special opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious leader to build on our strong foundations of behaviour, culture and personal development.

As Assistant Headteacher you will:

  • Share in the strategic leadership of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
  • Strategically lead behavioural curriculum, personal development and attendance
  • Motivate, coach and develop staff to ensure consistency and high standards of behaviour
  • Monitor data, identify trends and work with relevant team to intervene early and ensure excellent student outcomes
  • Be visible and lead a culture of “all of us, all the time”

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Be an experienced and excellent classroom practitioner and hold QTS
  • Sky high expectations of student achievement
  • Positive mindset with the energy and enthusiasm to inspire others
  • Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students and parents/carers
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding of world-class behaviour and culture
