Job Description

The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate teaching assistant to join our team at Scotch Orchard Primary School. We are a school, which puts children at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to serve our community, and we are looking for someone who wants to join us and play a vital role in shaping the future of some of our most vulnerable children.

The role is a unique one, and is based in our new acorns provision. Acorns provides a nurturing space for some of our more vulnerable children in school. It provides a learning space where we focus on foundational skills and executive function in order to help children develop skills to equip them to be successful in the classroom. It is flexible, some children access individual sessions, some for a short period. The focus is always on the individual child and the pathway of support they need to successfully access the full curriculum back in the classroom.

We are looking for an experienced teaching assistant who is passionate about ensuring that the most vulnerable children receive the very best education. You should be skilled in being able to support children in regulating their emotions, and breaking learning down into small steps. We are looking for someone who is dynamic and thrives on working as part of a team.
