About Us
Parker Harris is an arts consultancy with over 35 years’ experience running some of the UK’s leading art prizes and open exhibitions. The Art Ladder is our online mentoring programme for artists. Launched in January 2024, the programme has helped over 1,000 artists to date.
Your Role
- Social media across both Parker Harris and The Art Ladder.
- Help us run Parker Harris channels (Instagram, Facebook: @parkerharrisco): writing, creating, and scheduling posts in line with our content strategy. Responding to comments and DMs. Monitoring performance.
- Help us run The Art Ladder channels (Instagram: @artistmentoring, and YouTube: The Art Ladder): same as above, plus producing short-form content (Reels, carousels, static posts) tailored to The Art Ladder’s audience and purpose.
- Build cross-platform collaboration. Parker Harris and The Art Ladder are intrinsically linked but distinct. You’ll keep each channel’s voice and focus clear while finding cross-promotion opportunities.
- Convert clips from The Art Ladder sessions and interviews into social posts (captions, hooks, calls to action, format adjustments per platform), and post them to @artistmentoring and/or @parkerharrisco where relevant for cross-promotion.
Other marketing tasks
- Email scheduling in our bespoke mailing system
- Uploading and sending press releases to our arts media database
- Contacting universities and partner organisations to share our calls for entries and exhibitions
- Tracking analytics and cross-promotion reporting
- Weekly meetings with the Parker Harris team
- Monthly four-person team meetings to discuss The Art Ladder comms
- Cross-platform planning between Parker Harris and The Art Ladder accounts

What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years of social media management experience.
- Experience or background in contemporary art.
- Attention to detail.
- Platform expertise.
- A balance of visual and engagement.
- Comfortable using: Canva, Descript, CapCut, Later, Hootsuite, or equivalent tools.
- Right to work in the UK.
- London-based. Able to attend events.
Nice to have
- Experience with email marketing platforms.
- Experience creating clips from longer-form video content and scheduling them on social media.
