Location: Highbury House (Hybrid). Arsenal, a world‑famous football club dedicated to excellence, seeks an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement and support secure, high‑performing enterprise network infrastructure across a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance our enterprise networks – collaborate across Technology Operations to implement and optimise wired and wireless infrastructure using Cisco SDA, Catalyst Center, ISE and Meraki Dashboard.
- Support critical network services – provide 2nd and 3rd line support across routing, switching, wireless, firewall and identity environments.
- Lead complex technical changes – deliver network upgrades, infrastructure refreshes and transformation projects with clear implementation and rollback procedures.
- Drive high‑performing wireless connectivity – oversee high‑density Wi‑Fi environments through RF optimisation, performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Strengthen security posture – partner with security teams to assist audits, remediate vulnerabilities and enhance access control across the network.
- Oversee Azure networking estate – integrate and maintain Azure services including VNets, VPN gateways, NSGs and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Champion operational excellence – maintain accurate documentation, network standards and technical procedures for continuous improvement.
- Provide matchday and event support – assist with on‑site and remote support for matchdays and events.
Qualifications
- Significant enterprise network engineering experience in fast‑paced organisations.
- CCNP‑level networking expertise – advanced routing and switching knowledge (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, QoS).
- Advanced Cisco SDA and wireless knowledge – experience with SDA, Catalyst Center, 9800 controllers and Catalyst access points.
- Multi‑vendor security platform experience – Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco firewalls.
- Experience with Cisco ISE – secure wired/wireless authentication, 802.1X, RADIUS/TACACS+, guest and posture services.
- Cloud and hybrid networking capability – working knowledge of Azure networking services and hybrid connectivity principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills across LAN, WAN, WLAN and security environments.
- Collaborative and proactive approach – build effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and partners.
