As a part-time, entry-level Reserve Soldier in the British Army, youll: Get involved in everything the Regular Army does, from combat to humanitarian work Get paid to spend your spare time learning transferrable skills Experience adventures you never thought possible Only work the hours that suit you and your schedule Make friends that will last a lifetime Provide support to the Regular Army when needed To qualify, you must be between 18 years and 43 years and pass a basic fitness test.

During your initial training, you will receive one day of paid holiday for every 10 days you serve and earn £63.27 per day.
As you progress through our ranks, this will rise to £95.06 per day for a Corporal, and £106.73 per day when you become a Sergeant.
If you meet your minimum training commitment (usually 27 days a year) and pass your annual Military Training Tests, youll also get a tax-free bonus payment on top of your pay.
From your very first day with us, youll be gaining transferrable skills, including military and civilian qualifications that could set you up for life.
All the entry-level training youll need can be completed in modules or all in one go, so you can choose the route that suits you.
