Be our driving force. As a full-time soldier, entry-level Driver for the British Army, you will:

  • Play an essential role in transporting soldiers and supplies across the world
  • Ensure people, ammunition, rations, and equipment arrive safe and sound
  • Drive through desert, jungle, snow, and mountain roads
  • Train on a range of vehicles from quad bikes to HGVs
  • Learn cross-country driving, convoy driving, navigating, loading, driving at night, and more
  • Gain qualifications in logistics, including a Level 2 apprenticeship in Driving Goods Vehicles

To qualify, you must be between 16 years 6 months and 35 years 6 months and pass a basic fitness test.

During your initial training, you will earn £26,334. If you set your mind to it, you could reach Corporal within 5 years, earning £37,861. You will also receive 30 days' annual leave every year.
