We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team at The Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) for an organised Events Executive to deliver fundraising events, stakeholder engagement and supporter growth within a not-for-profit environment. Ideal for someone with strong communication, CRM and event management skills.

SALARY: £35,311 per annum + Benefits
LOCATION: Hybrid working 2 days in the office in Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn, County Antrim, Northern Ireland and 3 days remote. This can involve working from home, but more likely attending events within the Northern Ireland region.

JOB OVERVIEW: Working as an Events Executive you will plan and deliver fundraising events, develop supporter relationships and help grow awareness of the charity's work across the region. As an Events Executive you will collaborate with volunteers, corporate partners, local authorities and military communities, while supporting marketing activity, CRM systems and regional engagement. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone organised, personable and passionate about making a meaningful impact within the charity sector. This role is full-time permanent based in Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn, County Antrim, with hybrid working in place and flexibility required for some evening and weekend events.

Founded in 1944, our purpose is to provide a lifetime of support to serving soldiers, former soldiers, and their families when they are in need, ensuring they can avoid hardship and enjoy independence and dignity. The Charity operates a regional structure across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, with its central office in London.
DUTIES:
- Event Planning and Delivery: Organise and deliver fundraising events in line with the charity's fundraising plan and regulatory standards
- Supporter Engagement: Build strong relationships to retain supporters and attract new donors and participants
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with volunteers, corporate organisations, local authorities and military units
- Marketing and Communications: Support campaigns and event promotion across digital and traditional channels
- CRM and Database Management: Maintain accurate supporter records using Salesforce and support reporting
- Financial Administration: Process income, ensure Gift Aid compliance and support financial tracking
- Public Representation: Represent the charity at events, delivering presentations and briefings
- Logistics and Event Setup: Assemble and manage event equipment including stands and materials
- Regional Travel: Travel across Northern Ireland with occasional overnight stays as required
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL:
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Well organised with solid administrative and office skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Strong empathy with the charity's mission and beneficiaries
DESIRABLE:
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Knowledge of social media and digital marketing tools
- Understanding of the charity or fundraising sector
- Awareness of the British Army or armed forces community
- Knowledge of local networks within Northern Ireland
