Introduction

Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) is a 12‑month training programme fully funded by the Department for Education (DfE), designed for graduates of any subject. Completion of the programme leads to achievement of the Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) making trainees fully qualified early years teachers.

About the Employer

The Ark Children Centre provides a friendly, warm and safe nursery environment, whilst focusing on the children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs. Our ethos is that, if a child is happy, in a safe secure environment, they will develop to their full potential. We are a small and homely children’s nursery in the heart of Evelyn Street, Lewisham. We provide children aged 0‑5 years with the very best care and education in a warm and friendly environment where children are nurtured and encouraged to reach their own individual potential. Our “home away from home” environment is familiar to young children, enabling them to settle quickly and develop positive relationships from the outset. We ensure that our staff and children and families get to know each other and the children are happy and confident creating a friendly caring community.

You will be working within the nursery setting at The Ark Children's Centre supporting children’s learning and development while completing your professional training.
