Everywhen Corporate (formerly Towergate Corporate) is a rapidly expanding division of Everywhen (formerly Ardonagh Advisory), primarily based in Leeds city centre, with colleagues also working remotely across the UK including in Manchester, the South East and London.
Formed in 2019, we are now a specialist team of over 60 insurance and risk management experts with over 120 clients, which between them account for over ÂŁ80m of premium. Our clients are corporate and international businesses across various sectors, which are usually large, complex and/or global, each with a bespoke insurance and risk management programme.
Everywhen Corporate focus is on providing extensive Risk Management support for our clients, transparency of remuneration and outstanding client service. We aim to show no complacency in providing exceptional programme coverage and competitive insurance premiums for our clients with a uniquely ethical business model.
The wider Everywhen business employs over 3,000 colleagues across over 50 offices in the UK and as part of The Ardonagh Group, over 12,500 people in 100+ locations globally. We are responsible for the placement of over £5bn in premium into the UK insurance market and $15bn globally, as the UK’s largest independent insurance brokerage.
The Role
As the business has grown quickly a new, experienced Risk Manager, is needed to assist with our growth targets and also to maintain our existing client service requirements.
We expect our Risk Managers to provide excellent client service and technical expertise across the UK and internationally, and maintain good relationships with clients, colleagues and insurers.
The role would suit an experienced risk manager or surveyor who has several years experience and knowledge across key areas such as property protection, sprinklers, business interruption, health and safety and motor fleet.
Role and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside Account Directors, Broking and Claims colleagues to ensure the highest level of service to an allocated client portfolio and new business prospects.
- Acting with integrity to build long-term, trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and insurers.
- Undertaking on-site client visits throughout the UK and internationally to create an accurate and comprehensive risk profile
- The ability articulate risk exposures and associated control measures accurately to underwriters positively differentiating the client or prospect
- Helping clients across all areas of their exposure to proactively improve their risk profile on an ongoing basis
- Manage insurer risk survey programs ensuring effective delivery of the survey and manage both client and insurer expectations in terms of risk improvements and recommendations ensuring deadlines are met where appropriate
- Responding quickly, accurately and personably to clients’ technical queries, administrative requirements and general risk management queries.
- Carrying out a range of audits, risk assessments (including Fire Risk Assessments) and inspections for clients across key areas of property protection, health & safety and fleet risk management
- Ability to assist clients develop business continuity plans, carry out business impact analysis workshops and BCP tests
- Coordinating risk management and claims information from colleagues and insurers throughout the policy period to provide detailed and accurate ongoing information to clients and the Account Executive.
- Professionally representing Towergate and Ardonagh, demonstrating an understanding of our corporate objectives, being seen by colleagues as someone who is approachable, supportive and helpful, and continually improving knowledge through training and development.
- Taking ownership of problems and their resolution, seeking assistance where necessary.
- Complying with regulatory and company standards as directed by line management and taking responsibility for working in accordance and complying with Towergate policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of the Group.
- Maintaining and developing knowledge and skills through continued professional development
- Proactively sharing knowledge, expertise, loss and risk insights with colleagues
Qualifications and Experience
- The enthusiasm, ambition and drive to succeed in a rapidly growing, dynamic and entrepreneurial division of Towergate.
- A proven track record in Risk Management/Insurance Survey role, ideally of corporate, risk-managed clients
- Good understanding of Insurance policies and wordings
- Diligent and detail-oriented, providing precise and accurate presentations and reports with truly exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective organisation, with the ability to prioritise work and deliver results on time.
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent (or a clear journey towards) is preferred along with appropriate qualifications/knowledge/CPD around key aspects of Insurance (CII), property protection, business continuity planning and motor fleet.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel fluency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients, insurers and colleagues.
