We’re now looking for an experienced New Business Placement Broker to join our Manchester team, with a focus on placing and negotiating cross-class commercial risks across the regional and national market.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Negotiate placement of new business across a variety of commercial lines (property, casualty, combined, and more).
  • Build and manage relationships with both insurers and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to brokers and account executives, providing market insight and placement strategies.
  • Leverage your knowledge of the regional market to identify placement opportunities and create tailored solutions for clients.
  • Stay current with market conditions, appetite changes, and insurer capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring a strong foundation in commercial broking, with experience placing mid to large cross-class risks into the open market. This role is ideal for someone currently in a similar placement role or a senior account handler/broker ready to take the next step.

You will have:

  • Solid experience placing commercial risks across multiple lines.
  • Strong insurer relationships and up-to-date market knowledge.
  • Confidence in negotiating complex deals and navigating insurer appetites.
  • A collaborative approach – able to work closely with internal teams and external markets.
  • CII qualifications (or working towards them) would be a plus.
