Job Title: IBA Underwriting & Bureau Account Handler

Location: London/Hybrid (Typically 2/3 days in the office)

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts across all ASL brands.
  • Investigate and allocate cash, perform credit control, process payments (both claims and return premiums).
  • Produce accurate and timely management information to support portfolio performance.
  • Ensure all debts are collected promptly and liabilities settled within agreed credit terms.
  • Match all cash received as soon as possible.
  • Complete processes on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers in an up‑to‑date and accurate manner.
  • Produce timely management information regularly and on an ad hoc basis.
  • Regularly liaise with other departments regarding outstanding queries, particularly cash queries.
  • Chase outstanding cash queries with clients/underwriters on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and dispatch statements of accounts as requested.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records that are accessible to required parties.
  • Monitor client money payments to intermediary placing brokers.
  • Notify relevant parties of potential bad debts at the earliest possible stage and enlist assistance where appropriate.
  • Undertake other duties, ad hoc tasks, and projects as required.
  • Keep suitable records of all communications sent.
  • Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of the project.
  • Ensure compliance with group policies, procedures and the FCA CASS 5 Client Money Rules.
  • Complete training and assessment exercises as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous IBA experience is required together with MS Office experience.
  • Global XB system knowledge preferable.
  • IBA experience.
  • MS Office skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Presentable appearance.
  • Determined and resilient attitude.
