Everywhen part of the Ardonagh Group invites applications for our 2026 Apprentice Claims Handler intake, part of our award‑winning Emerging Careers Programme. This structured development pathway offers a supported introduction to the insurance profession, combining full‑time employment with accredited learning. These apprentices are full‑time positions in either Cardiff or Southampton so you will need to be within a reasonable commute of either location. Initially the role will be fully based in the office, moving to a hybrid working arrangement when training is complete.

About The Programme

Starting in September 2026, apprentices will complete a comprehensive 6‑week induction, followed by an 18‑month Level 3 Insurance Apprenticeship. Throughout the programme, apprentices receive guidance from experienced mentors, on‑the‑job training, and access to our award‑winning Learning & Development team. Successful completion leads to a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification, enabling progression into specialist, leadership or commercial pathways within Everywhen.

Role Overview

The Apprentice Claims Handler will support the management of client claims and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality customer service. Responsibilities may include:

  • Portfolio Support – assisting with day‑to‑day administration of claims, responding to client and insurer queries, and supporting claims activity, ensuring accuracy of information, assisting with progression of the claim.
  • Relationship Management – maintaining professional relationships with clients, colleagues, insurer partners and many other parties connected to the claim.
  • Claims Management Support – assisting the claims team colleagues, Claims Executives and alike with preparing documentation, gathering data and attending internal or client meetings where required. Supporting the progression of claims with timely proactive activity. Gain an understanding of policy coverage, claim process and client outcomes.
  • System Administration – ensuring accurate CRM records and contributing to process improvements.

This role provides a strong foundation for a long‑term career in insurance.
