A CDM consultant can be the most valuable voice on any project. The reality is, respect doesn’t follow consultants who aren’t delving into things properly, aren’t making their voices heard, and aren’t acting as proper consultants. If you worked here, you’d be supported when you make your voice heard in the right way. You’d be rewarded and well recognised for doing it too. That’s the reason most of their clients and consultant partners take them really seriously, and the reason why you’ll find it easier to do the job properly here than almost anywhere else.
This is a company that doesn’t put limits on whether you can become an Associate or how much you can get paid. In fact, you’ll probably find yourself in that job in 2027. They want good building safety professionals in long term jobs, where you can expect progression, a significant pay rise, and a proper bonus every year. It’s not your fault that somebody has worked at a company longer, or that they’ve got a few more years’ experience. If you’re one of the best consultants around, you’ll get paid appropriately and get the progression you should have here, without having to fight your way past Seniors or Associates to get there.
You’ll work from home as often as you like, with local offices available to use as and when. Flexibility wise, you’ll find there’s nobody looking over your shoulder. If you’re keeping everything in order and doing a good job, they don’t really mind how or when the work is done. It’s a 37.5-hour working week for that salary, and you’ll find there’s no need for overtime. Holidays start at 26 days and go all the way up to 37 days, with bank holidays in addition.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll lead on the real design risk side of the role, asking the right questions, challenging where needed, and acting as a proper consultant to clients, designers, and other stakeholders.
- You’ll advise project teams on CDM matters throughout the design process, helping to make sure risks are identified early and properly considered rather than just documented later.
- You’ll manage the usual CDM information and documentation too, but with strong admin support behind you, the role is not just about paperwork.
- There’ll also be occasional travel for site health and safety visits and project meetings.
What you’ll need:
Experience as a CDM professional, with an appropriate H.
