About the Role
We are looking for a Physical Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year. The successful candidate will teach Primary students, promoting physical well-being, teamwork, and sportsmanship while applying the school’s IB philosophy and Cambridge and SEP curricula. You will play a key role in fostering a love for sports and physical activity, developing students’ social and emotional skills, and creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons based on constructivist and inquiry-based approaches aligned with the IB Learner Profile.
- Prepare annual and semester plans, update unit planners, and monitor student progress.
- Design and apply diverse assessment methods to evaluate student learning and development.
- Encourage teamwork, respect, and empathy through physical education.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure curriculum progression between Preschool, Primary, and Secondary.
- Collaborate with the PE department in the planning and implementation of student physical activity events.
- Coach school teams and accompany them to local and national competitions.
- Participate in school duties, meetings, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education or education (required).
- Teaching certification, ideally PGCE in PE (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience as a PE teacher (preferred but not essential).
- Experience teaching PYP, MYP, Cambridge, and/or SEP curricula (preferred).
- Spanish desirable but not essential.
Accommodation or a monthly rent allowance. All visa procedures fully covered. Transportation from your place of origin to Mexico City.
