Role Overview

As our first in-house marketing hire, the Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in rolling out the company’s marketing strategy. You will be hands-on across every channel and project, starting with the relaunch of Scotscraig Golf Club and expanding to include future venues as they join the portfolio in the coming months.

This is a broad, career-building role for someone who wants to shape the marketing function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the group marketing strategy across all owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Develop and schedule content for social, email, website, and digital advertising.
  • Coordinate promotional literature, brochures, and on-course signage.

Content & Storytelling

  • Plan and oversee photo/video shoots, including heritage storytelling, restoration progress, and launch campaigns.
  • Work closely with historians, architects, and greenkeeping teams to capture the journey.

Brand & Corporate Communications

  • Maintain The Ancient Links Golf Company brand identity across all materials.
  • Support investor updates, board presentations, and press releases.
  • Liaise with media and manage PR opportunities.
  • Build and execute the marketing calendar for Scotscraig’s restoration and relaunch.
  • Manage relationships with local tourism bodies, golf tour operators, and community groups.
  • Monitor analytics and report on campaign performance.

Growth & Team Building

  • As the portfolio expands, help define future marketing roles and best practices.
  • Share learnings and mentor future hires.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, or related field (agency or client side).
  • Proven ability to manage multi-channel campaigns and content production.
  • Strong writing skills for press releases, social posts, and investor communications.
  • Comfortable with digital tools (CMS, email marketing, social scheduling, campaign analytics).
  • Experience in golf, heritage, tourism or premium hospitality marketing is a plus.
