The Anchorage Care Home in Pulborough, West Sussex are looking for a Full Time Senior Healthcare Assistant for day shifts to join our team and provide quality care to our residents.

Duties include:

  • Running a shift and being in charge of care assistants on shift.
  • Provide personal care and support to elderly individuals in a compassionate and respectful manner.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Administer medications according to prescribed schedules.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using correct lifting techniques and assistive devices.
  • Engage in meaningful conversations and provide companionship to promote emotional well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, other staff members and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

Ideally you will have or be working towards an Adult Health & Social Care NVQ Level 3 or have NVQ Level 2 with the aspiration to further your career.

Training, uniform and pension scheme provided.

£13.33 per hour.
