We are currently seeking a reliable, practical and proactive individual to join our team as a Maintenance Operative.
Working alongside our existing maintenance team, you will support the day-to-day upkeep and smooth running of the hotel, helping to ensure our properties are safe, functional and maintained to a high standard.
This is a varied, hands-on role and would suit someone who enjoys practical work.
Previous hotel experience is not essential; we're looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a practical approach.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the hotel.
- Work alongside the Maintenance Manager to complete general repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and routine checks across the property.
- Help maintain bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces to a high standard.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, hazards or repairs requiring further attention.
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, decorating and general maintenance tasks where appropriate.
- Keep maintenance areas, tools and equipment clean, organised and safe.
- Support external contractors and specialist tradespeople when required.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and use equipment safely and appropriately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance or practical role.
- Hotel or hospitality experience is not required.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends.
- Good communication skills and a professional manner.
