We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join the kitchen team at The Atlantic Hotel as a Kitchen Porter.
Please note this is a part time, permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
- Wash and store kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and utensils efficiently.
- Assist with deliveries and the safe storage of food and supplies.
- Support chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed.
- Keep kitchen floors, work surfaces and storage areas clean and organised.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- A willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the kitchen team.
