We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join the kitchen team at The Atlantic Hotel as a Kitchen Porter.

Please note this is a part time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
  • Wash and store kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and utensils efficiently.
  • Assist with deliveries and the safe storage of food and supplies.
  • Support chefs with basic food preparation when required.
  • Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed.
  • Keep kitchen floors, work surfaces and storage areas clean and organised.
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • A willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the kitchen team.
