The Discovery Academy is located in Stoke-on-Trent and is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Associate Teacher for English to join our strong team of highly motivated professionals who work collaboratively to raise standards and expectations at all levels throughout Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an Apprenticeship Pathway to gain Qualified Teacher Status. You will be placed on the Staffordshire University Apprenticeship Teacher programme, fully funded by Alpha Academies Trust. Within 12 months you will complete a Level 6 Apprenticeship Course and gain QTS through a combination of on-the-job training and academic learning, with support to transition to a permanent teaching role where possible.

  • The ability to converse at ease with members of the public, staff and students in accurate spoken English is essential.
