We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team of 13 on a fixed-term contract for 6 months providing maternity cover. There is a chance that we may be able to extend the contract for a longer period or be able to offer a permanent role at the end of the fixed-term contract.
The ideal candidate will be a great team player and have an upbeat attitude with a great sense of humour.
The vacancy is for 36.5 hours per week to be worked as follows:
- Monday 2pm-6:30pm
- Wednesday 8:30am-6:30pm (1 hr lunch)
- Friday 8:30am-1:30pm
Main duties of the job:
- Making / cancelling appointments for all clinicians
- Issuing prescriptions
- New registrations
- Giving results
- Scanning documents to patient notes
- Liaising between clinicians and patients
- Actioning and monitoring the practice email
