We connect industry leaders and innovators through unparalleled networking opportunities, bringing together leading minds to share the latest trends, challenges and opportunities facing companies, the tactics and tools needed to drive results, and a forum to make meaningful connections.

About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our sponsorship sales team by generating, qualifying, and nurturing leads across our digital and event sponsorship portfolios. You’ll play a critical role in fueling our growth engine — researching markets, identifying prospects, and engaging decision‑makers to set high‑quality meetings for our senior sales team. This is a fantastic entry point for someone passionate about sales, events, and B2B engagement who’s ready to develop a rewarding career in sponsorship and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Research and identify high‑potential companies and decision-makers using LinkedIn, CRM data, and sales intelligence tools.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Conduct high‑volume outreach (email, calls, LinkedIn) to book qualified meetings for the sponsorship sales team.
  • Qualification: Engage prospects through discovery calls to assess fit, needs, and timelines, qualifying opportunities for senior sales reps.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records and notes in HubSpot, ensuring all leads and interactions are properly tracked and followed up.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with senior sponsorship executives and marketing to refine outreach messaging and target lists.
  • Performance Goals: Consistently meet weekly and monthly KPIs for qualified meetings booked, outreach volume, and lead conversion.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed on key industry trends in SaaS, martech, and B2B events to better tailor outreach and identify new opportunities.

Requirements

  • Some previous experience in sales, lead generation, or outbound prospecting (experience in B2B, events, or digital media a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Self‑motivated, resilient, and driven to exceed targets in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) and outreach tools such as Smartlead, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or Aircall.
  • Being able to time‑manage, prioritise effectively and handle multiple tasks at once, whether that’s researching, outreach, or managing replies.
  • A collaborative attitude — success at The Alliance is a team sport.

Location

This role is either Hybrid in our London office or fully remote in the UK.

Compensation

Base Salary £25,500 - 28,000 (range depending on experience), OTE £35,000.

Core Benefits

  • Enhanced paid holiday: 34 days including UK Bank holidays and a day off on your birthday.
  • Private Medical & Dental.
  • Life Insurance: (4 x salary).
  • Flexible hours policy allowing you to structure your work for when you’re most productive.
  • Extensive tech gear kit.

  • On‑demand therapy, coaching & mental fitness via Oliva.
  • Heavily subsidised gym membership via Gympass.
  • Cycle‑to‑work & Workplace Nursery schemes.
