About the Company
When it comes to digital communities, The Alliance is leading the way. Product marketing, sales enablement, product‐led growth, AI, customer success, CMOs – we’re home to thriving communities for them all. With 70,000+ professionals across our communities and a constant stream of events, memberships, and learning products, we help individuals and teams grow faster in their careers.
The Role
We’re looking for a hands‐on Product Manager to own and improve our core platform experience. This isn’t a pure strategy role; it’s about bringing structure to a complex ecosystem, prioritising what matters, and shipping improvements fast. You’ll own the core platform experience end‐to‐end – from landing pages and membership journeys to content access, our content archive, and LMS integrations – ensuring everything connects across the user journey, from acquisition through to engagement, while maintaining a focused backlog.
What You’ll Do
- Own the roadmap & prioritisation: maintain a clear, outcome‐driven backlog, balancing stakeholder input with user impact and using structured prioritisation (impact vs effort, quick wins vs bigger bets).
- Drive delivery with engineering: work closely with the dev team to scope, prioritise, and ship improvements quickly, partnering with a senior engineer and ensuring smooth, continuous delivery.
- Improve user journeys & conversion: analyse and optimise key journeys (landing → signup → activation → engagement), identifying friction and running iterative improvements to drive conversion and usage.
- Partner with UX & design: collaborate with our UX resource to refine flows, improve usability, and ensure a cohesive experience across the platform.
- Align stakeholders & bring clarity: work closely with Education, Marketing, and Events to translate needs into clear product requirements, manage trade‐offs, and keep everyone aligned on priorities.
Previous Experience
We’re looking for someone who’s already operated in a product or product‐adjacent role and is comfortable working in fast‐moving, cross‐functional environments. Experience as a Product Manager or a similar role (e.g., Product Owner, Growth/Product Marketing Manager with platform ownership). Background in EdTech, media, content platforms, or membership‐based products. Experience working on user journeys, conversion flows, or content‐driven products. Comfortable working closely with engineering teams and shipping product improvements. Exposure to experimentation, optimisation, or growth‐focused initiatives is a strong plus.
This is you
You’re someone who enjoys making things work better, not just talking about how they should work. You thrive when stepping into a product that’s already live, slightly messy, and full of opportunity. You like moving quickly, taking ownership, and figuring things out as you go. You don’t need perfect structure – you create it.
Compensation
Base salary range between £50,000 and £58,000 (based on experience).
Core Benefits
- Enhanced paid holiday: 34 days including UK Bank holidays and a day off on your birthday.
- Private medical & dental.
- Life insurance: 4× salary.
- Flexible hours policy to structure work for when you’re most productive.
- Extensive tech gear kit.
Wellbeing Benefits
- On‐demand paid therapy, coaching & mental fitness via Oliva.
- Discounted wellness classes & gym memberships.
- Cycle‐to‐work & workplace nursery schemes.
- Corporate discounts via Perksatwork.
- Monthly flexible allowance via the thanksBen platform.
Learning & Development
Personal L&D budget (£500 annually in year 1, scaling up to £3,000+.) Volunteer & L&D days: 1 paid day per quarter for either L&D or volunteer activities.
Community and Inclusion
We are committed to creating a workplace that is free from discrimination and bias, and where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed and contribute. We acknowledge that our work here is never done – and we promise to continue striving for inclusivity every day.
