About The Role
We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our sponsorship sales team by generating, qualifying, and nurturing leads across both our digital and event sponsorship portfolios. You’ll play a critical role in fueling our growth engine—researching markets, identifying prospects, and engaging decision‑makers to set high‑quality meetings for our senior sales team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Research and identify high‑potential companies and decision‑makers using LinkedIn, CRM data, and sales intelligence tools.
- Outbound Prospecting: Conduct high‑volume outreach (email, calls, LinkedIn) to book qualified meetings for the sponsorship sales team.
- Qualification: Engage prospects through discovery calls to assess fit, needs, and timelines, qualifying opportunities for senior sales reps.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records and notes in HubSpot, ensuring all leads and interactions are properly tracked and followed up.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with senior sponsorship executives and marketing to refine outreach messaging and target lists.
- Performance Goals: Consistently meet weekly and monthly KPIs for qualified meetings booked, outreach volume, and lead conversion.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed on key industry trends in SaaS, martech, and B2B events to better tailor outreach and identify new opportunities.
Requirements
- Some previous experience in sales, lead generation, or outbound prospecting (experience in B2B, events, or digital media a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and driven to exceed targets in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) and outreach tools such as Smartlead, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or Aircall.
- Being able to time‑manage, prioritise effectively and handle multiple tasks at once, whether that’s researching, outreach, or managing replies.
- A collaborative attitude — success at The Alliance is a team sport.
Location: This role is either Hybrid in our London office or fully remote in the UK.
Compensation: Base Salary £25,500 – £28,000 (range depending on experience), OTE £35,000.
