We are looking for a dynamic, commercially minded, and visionary leader ready to make a profound impact on children’s lives. The Alliance Schools Trust is seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and drive the strategic and operational excellence that underpins an outstanding education in each of our schools.

What You’ll Lead

  • Strategic Direction — Help shape the strategic direction of the Trust, aligning resources and systems with long-term educational goals.
  • Financial Excellence — Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance, ensuring value for money and long-term sustainability.
  • Estates & Safety — Ensure our learning environments are safe, inspiring, and future-proof.
  • Digital Transformation — Lead the Trust’s digital strategy, ensuring secure, resilient, and innovative IT systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Senior leadership experience in education, or a complex multi-site organisation
  • Strong financial expertise (ACA/ACCA/CIMA desirable)
  • Proven leadership across other non-educational areas
  • A track record of delivering efficiencies and driving organisational improvement
  • Integrity, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to educational values
