Oxford wakes up early, and so do we. If you want a role where your day is done by mid afternoon and your mornings actually mean something, this is it. The Randolph is Oxford's most recognisable hotel, a Victorian Gothic landmark on Beaumont Street facing the Ashmolean, and part of White Rabbit Hospitality. We are looking for a Breakfast Waiter/Waitress to join the team in The Alice, our all day restaurant, delivering the first and often most memorable service of a guest's stay.

This isn't a role where you pour coffee on autopilot and count down the hours. Breakfast is the most personal service of the day. You are the first face our guests see, the one who remembers how they take their eggs, the reason a business traveller books with us again. Get breakfast right and the whole stay follows.

We are looking for someone who lives our values. Hospitality is at our core, we do the right thing, we pursue excellence and we are all entrepreneurs. These are not words on a wall, they are how we run every service.

  • HOSPITALITY IS AT OUR CORE - You greet every guest with genuine warmth, whether it is 6:30am on a Monday or a full house on a Sunday.
  • WE DO THE RIGHT THING - You take allergens, hygiene and honest service seriously, every single time.
  • WE PURSUE EXCELLENCE - You notice the small things, the polished glassware, the topped up water, the table reset before anyone asks.
  • WE ARE ALL ENTREPRENEURS - You spot what could run smoother and you speak up.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Delivering warm, efficient breakfast service across The Alice and in room dining
  • Greeting and seating guests, taking orders and making confident recommendations
  • Setting up and replenishing the breakfast buffet to a consistently high standard
  • Handling allergen and dietary requests accurately and following our procedures without shortcuts
  • Operating the till, processing charges to room and closing bills correctly
  • Resetting the restaurant for the day ahead and supporting your team through the pass
  • Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and licensing standards throughout service

What Do You Need?

  • A genuine love of hospitality and a naturally positive presence early in the day
  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel or café setting, ideally with breakfast service
  • Confidence with allergen awareness and food safety basics, full training provided
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and organised when the room is full
  • Reliability and flexibility across weekends and bank holidays
  • Right to Work in the UK

What We Offer:

  • £15.30 per hour OTE, made up of base pay plus tronc
  • Early finish shifts, typically leaving your afternoons and evenings free
  • Discounts across the White Rabbit group, including Lina Stores and Kricket
  • Discounted stays across our hotels in Oxford, St Andrews, Cambridge, London and Lisbon
  • Meals on duty, uniform provided and laundered
  • Structured induction and ongoing training through our All Gravy learning platform
  • Recommend a friend bonus scheme
  • Access to our employee assistance programme and wellbeing support

We are a hospitality incubator, which means people here move. Breakfast Waiters at The Randolph have gone on to become Supervisors, Restaurant Managers and Duty Managers across our properties. If you want to build a career rather than just pick up shifts, tell us where you want to go and we will help you get there.
