Join White Rabbit Hospitality as a Kitchen Porter - The Heartbeat of Our Kitchen at Graduate Cambridge. Every great plate that leaves our kitchen starts with you. If you take pride in a spotless section, thrive at pace and want to be the reason service runs like clockwork, we want to hear from you.
White Rabbit Hospitality is a group with a bold vision: to be the world's leading hospitality incubator. That means we don't just fill shifts, we build careers. As a Kitchen Porter here, you are stepping into a kitchen where your work is seen, valued and set up to grow into something bigger. This isn't a role where you are hidden away and forgotten. Our chefs know that a clean, organised and well stocked kitchen is the foundation of everything they create, and they treat the people who make that happen as part of the team, not the background to it.
We are looking for someone who lives our values every day:
- HOSPITALITY IS AT OUR CORE - You have the back of every chef on the pass, keeping their section clean, stocked and ready so they can focus on the food.
- WE DO THE RIGHT THING - You uphold hygiene and safety standards without cutting corners, because you understand what is at stake.
- WE PURSUE EXCELLENCE - You take pride in a gleaming kitchen and see a job well done as its own reward.
- WE ARE ALL ENTREPRENEURS - You look for smarter ways to work, flag what is running low and take ownership of your area.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Washing and cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots and kitchen equipment to a consistently high standard.
- Keeping the kitchen, wash up area and storage spaces clean, tidy and compliant at all times.
- Supporting the chefs with basic food preparation when needed.
- Receiving, checking and storing deliveries correctly, rotating stock and reporting shortages.
- Managing waste and recycling responsibly and keeping bin areas clean.
- Following all health, safety and food hygiene procedures.
- Being a reliable, positive presence who helps service flow from prep through to close.
What Do You Need?
- A strong work ethic and the energy to keep pace during a busy service.
- A genuine sense of pride in cleanliness and order.
- A willingness to learn and a positive, team first attitude.
- Reliability and good timekeeping.
- The ability to stay calm and organised under pressure.
- Previous kitchen experience is welcome but not essential, we will train the right person.
- The Right to Work in the UK.
What We Offer:
- Aside from an OTE hourly rate of £14.20 we provide genuine progression routes across White Rabbit Hospitality, including pathways into commis chef roles.
- Hands on training and development from a supportive kitchen team.
- Meals on shift.
- Team member discounts across our hospitality group.
- A workplace built on our ethos: work hard and be kind.
- The chance to be part of a growing group with venues across the UK and beyond.
Start as a Kitchen Porter and you are not stuck there. Many of our chefs began exactly where you are now. If you want to build a future in professional kitchens, this is where it begins, with real support and real opportunity to move up.
